Mallory Knowledgebase Question:

The vacuum advance on this distributor does not seem to operate. I have about 15-16" of vacuum at idle. Disconnecting the vacuum hose (it's at manifold vacuum, not ported) does not affect the timing. What are the specs for the vacuum can that comes with the 27 series distributor? Tim

Reply from Rep:

It takes at least 7inches min. at ported vacuum and usually too much timing. 216-688-8300 opt5
