Ticket #Date/TimeQuestion
1753286/1/2008 8:30:52 PMI saw a real early Mallory dist for sale, but missed out on it, for a '57 mercury turnpike cruiser with a factory 368. I have a stock 368 in my '56 mark II and would like to upgrade, I was told that a ford Y-block distibutor would fit as long as I change the dist. gear to the big lincoln gear. so my thoughts were if your 38-46 series dist unilite #3838701 uses a factory spec dist gear mounting that I could just replace the gear would this work on my big y lincoln 368 motor? 1149152/10/2005 3:01:50 PMHello, I purchased the advance kit 29015 and recurved my distributor timing. The car runs great. However I was wondering, from the instructions, how you can actually affect the RPM where the advance starts to begin. The instructions seem to indicate this is possible but I do not see how the instruction algorythm can make this possible. It seems that you can come up with the same slope (degrees/RPM) for any starting point of RPM giving a spring combination to put in. The combination then cannot really affect the advance starting point f...
1149042/10/2005 12:22:13 PMDoes the unilite need to have the voltage stepped down to six volts like an automotive Ignition or can you use direct battery voltage thanks
1148752/9/2005 9:26:30 PMConcerning Unilite Module # 605 and 6100M? Does one interchange or supersede the other? Can both be used in the Unilite distributor?
1148412/9/2005 1:36:38 PMI'm currently using a Unilite distributor driven by a hydraulic flat tappet cam. I'm changing to a late model Ford hydraulic roller cam (I'm told it is made of 1050 steel) and need to make sure the gear steel on the Unilite is compatible with the cam gear. Thanks

1147662/8/2005 12:51:55 PMHello, I'm looking for a fuel pump for a mild 512" twin turbo'd blow through carb'd engine. I have a 3 port Mallory boost referenced regulator. Assuming 15 psi max boost, and 8 psi of base fuel pressure, I'll need a pump that will deliver fuel at 23 psi. I'm looking to make just 650 horse or so [and 700+ lbs-ft]. Max rpm will be 5500 or so. Will either of your EFI pumps do the job? What size supply and return lines would I need? Pump will be mounted apx 8" below the bottom of the fuel tank, and near the fuel tank, but it will need to draw ...

1144212/2/2005 5:16:58 AMI am confused. What function does the ballast resister unit #700 serve if is wired ito the ignition wire supply to the Hyfire. I have read in the instructions, that the unilite module likes to have the ballast so that the amps are restricted, but I feel that the Hyfire is the only connection for the Unilite. Should the ballast be fitted to the Promaster coil or not? What is the effect if it is not fitted at all?
1144122/2/2005 12:18:09 AM My last distributor was a mallory dual point and though it worked great, I have decided to upgrade to a distributor w/ less maint. Thank you for your response to my question, Jack.
